What I am looking for:
I'm seeking a software engineering role with a team of ego-free individuals who are passionate about what they do. I thrive when I have a clear vision of the long-term goal and the ability to craft a quarterly plan to help achieve it.
How I got here:
After 8 years in Product and Program Management, where I steered strategy, made crucial business decisions, and managed the delivery of large-scale projects (see resume), I started exploring software engineering when I discovered I did not want the next promotion. It would distance me from hands-on problem-solving, which is the type of work I enjoy most.
In 2023 I completed a coding bootcamp (see curriculum here (Python specialization)). I then transitioned into a technical role on the Compliance Technology team at Coinbase which confirmed that I thrive on technical work.
What I bring:
I really am currently in LOVE with software engineering. I have enjoyed every problem I have worked on so far, which brings good energy to any team I join.
I also am blessed with an ability to laser focus. Once I get sucked into a problem it is hard to pull myself away. I am extremely productive and end each day knowing I made progress.
Lastly, my non-engineering professional experience has made me very good at working with stakeholders to refine requirements and priorities. I am an adept project manager and effectively manage timelines and cross functional communication, ensuring everyone stays aligned.
